What is Oriental Medicine?

Oriental Medicine is a complete and comprehensive medical system. This system has been used by a major portion of the world’s population for more than 3,000 years. One modality of this system is acupuncture.

Acupuncture is based on the energy system of “Qi” [chee]. Qi is similar to substances found in the body such as blood, nerves, and lymph.. It flows throughout the entire body and organs. Acupuncture uses needles to manipulate the flow of Qi, bringing the body into a natural balance.
Is it safe?

Oriental Medicine’s most attractive qualities:
no serious side effects
no or few minor side effects
effective treatments

All needles are sterile and discarded after each use.

You are in safe hands:
Acupuncturists are well trained.
A licensed acupuncturist has completed close to four years of postgraduate work.
Training requires proficiency in both western and eastern medical sciences.
Acupuncturists must pass a national board exam.

Does it Hurt?

Acupuncture needles are not like needles used in standard hospitals. They are very thin and rarely uncomfortable. Many people find acupuncture very relaxing.
